Accept are a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled in the early 1970s by Udo Dirkschneider. They played an important role in the development of speed metal and Teutonic thrash metal, being part of the German heavy/speed/power metal scene to emerge in the early to mid 1980s. The band's 1983 album, Balls to the Wall, subsequently became their most successful release, featuring its well-known hit with the same title. Following their disbandment in 1997 and brief resurrection in 2005, they reunited in 2009 without Dirkschneider.

ZP Theart ( formally of Dragon Force) and his new band I AM I have released the first video, "Silent Genocide", from their forthcoming debut album 'Event Horizon'.

The band will be fully unveiled on Sunday May 27th at Birmingham's O2 Academy 2 when I AM I make their live debut. The line-up is ZP Theart, Paul Clark Jr who was Manowar's deputy drummer for their 2011 European tour, Jacob Ziemba on guitar and Neil Salmon on bass.

'Event Horizon' will be the first ever heavy metal album to be released solely on USB. As the major record labels are almost certainly going to cease production of compact discs by the end of 2012, I AM I are one step ahead of the game by releasing this groundbreaking album in a groundbreaking format.

The USB stick will be packaged in a CD case and will include full artwork -- which is stunning -- and all the usual content you would expect on a disc and more. The album will be available to pre-order very soon from the Official I AM I website at iamiofficial.com.

Joe Satriani has confirmed that Dream Theater’s John Petrucci and Deep Purple’s Steve Morse will join him on a South American edition of the G3 tour.

Confirmed dates so far are:

October 11 - Citibank Hall - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

October 12 - Credicard Hall - Sao Paulo, Brazil

In addition to Petrucci, who has appeared on several G3 tours, previous participants include Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Yngwie Malmsteen, Robert Fripp, Paul Gilbert, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Adrian Legg, and special guests, including Tony MacAlpine, Johnny Hiland, Morse, Keith More, Chris Duarte, Andy Timmons, Neal Schon, Gary Hoey, Brian May, Billy Gibbons, Johnny A, George Lynch, Patrick Rondat, Herman Li, Alejandro Silva and Eric Sardinas.

The most recent G3 tour was an Australia/New Zealand run featuring Satriani, Steve Vai and Steve Lukather, including a massive set as part of the four-day Bluesfest festival at Byron Bay.
